Default Hi there

I'm Samantha, I'm 24 years old, my daughter is about to turn 1. My mom has diagnosed with HD in 2012, and thus year her health is deteriorating rapidly and I am still trying to come to terms with knowing that there is no way of slowing down or stopping HD...her father died from HD when he was 58, and her sister also has HD (my mother is 47, her sister is 45.). I registered on here just now in hopes of meeting people who also have family with HD, as it's incredibly rare for me to meet someone that has even heard of HD in my town.

Hi Sam I know how you feel my partner has been diagnosed with hd and has been showing symptoms for some years. He seems to be getting worse but we are hoping the the medication will kick in soon he has been on it for 4 weeks. Have you been to one of the HD support groups it's held the last we'd of every month. We done our first one in November and met other families and we all chatted it was really good. Remember to look after yourself aswell. Neil
