Kevin has been been diagnosed with sever huntingtons diease with the the specialist. We had bloods took which was told we didn't need but Kevin wanted the bloods for peace of mind. As a family we are getting through this. We have been to one of the support nights and met other families and others with huntingston diease. We can now enjoy our Christmas. 💜💜

Sorry to hear the outcome guys. It's actuallly good that Kevin insisted on the blood test as it will always have been a niggle in the bacl of the mind "what if...?". I always thought blood was does as a routine check anyway and am surprised the 'Specialist' would have signed off as HD without going for the test as formal confirmation anyway. That was the situation in our case where Steve was quite far down the HD line by the time we got to see anyone.

It's good that you are getting support through others and that, whilst it's not the best result you can move forward. As I have mentioned in previous posts, me and Hubs still had a lot of life to cram in after the diagnosis and it didn't stop us from taking trips and enjoying life, we just ad to box a bit clever and adapt to making things a bit easier

She clinically diagnosed him as she could see the symptoms very much. We will wait on the blood tests results now.
