Default My fundraising

Hi I'm new to the forum but wanted to share what I have decided to do to raise money to help. On 27th Jan I will be shaving my hair off in a local pub in thetford Norfolk m. I'm holding a raffle on the night and have to to I have enven managed to get a celebrity to donate a prize. The one and only cliff Richard. I'd this is a success I'm gonna jump out of a plane nextm. This charity is very close to my heart and feel I wanted to give them something

Hello Sarah and welcome to the mb.
Thank-you for sharing news of your fundraising effort for the new year! A-maz-ing!
I'm really impressed too with the celeb.donating a prize.....dare I ask what the prize is...!? I do love a bit of 'name-dropping'.....and always hope it will raise more awareness for HD. I know of someone very special to me preparing to skydive to raise funds for HD.....so that would also be pretty amazing for you to do that!

Thank-you for supporting all our HD families.....
Do keep us posted!

Ps. (nothing 'nutty' about doing something very special!!)

Best wishes
Crystal

Hi Sarah

Sorry about the delay in reply but I'm not coming in that much at the moment.

You are doing a fabulous thing! Cliff Richard is a magga coup!

I could never have my head shaven (not just a vanity thingy but I have a 21 stitches scar thingy where I had brain surgery as a kid so it's a bit dodgy) but I reckon you will never look more beautiful on all kinds of levels!

27 Jan will be a very poignant day for me as it was on that day in 2011 that I lost my lovely hubby (Steve) to HD.

A few weeks before that day we were spending Christmas at Park House in Sandringham. See HERE for more details on the place as it is an amazing hotel for disabled guests and their carers to holiday together. We loved Great Yarmouth too so got to see a bit of Norfolk even in the latter days.

As for jumping out of a plane.... I've no excuse not to do that other than I am just a real scaredy cat who has weak ankles and gets tense just stepping off the pavement

Good luck with your events. Happy to send you a signed copy of my book (See below) for the raffle prizes if you want to send your address to me via the HDA.

CURSE IN VERSE AND MUCH MORE WORSE

Awwwwwwwwwww bless you Sarah.

I'll pop something in the post next week. I can either send to HDA for them to forward on; or if you contact Kate Davies with your address she can forward it to me with your permission and I can post direct to you.

Alternatively, if you are on Twitter and want to connect with me so that we can use Direct Messaging I am @TDainton

Love

Trish
