Default In the name of research...

The door has just shut on my hospital room, and it's going to stay shut until Sunday morning - all in the name of research. I'm not allowed out, my food is controlled and I have a canula in to draw blood as and when and all that I pee will be analised. It's a metabilism study linked to Huntingtons Disease, and this is a benchmarking excersize. Still, it's not all bad - I've got t'internet in my room along with a telly, x-box and various books. I think I'll survive...

Hi Dave,

I suppose I could say enjoy the rest, but that would be flipant.
Have you watched the two video links on the HDA home page? Includes an hour of a charming blonde lady on the 4th plinth in Trafalgar square for HD awareness.
Is it as scarey as parachuting in there?
Anyway keep your spirits up.

You know what, as long as that Xbox is of the 360 sort I think that'd do me! Room in there for two, Dave?

Suki, it's an x-box 360. Plenty of space in my little room.

Good job it was an enforced lights out at 11.00pm,eh?

Anyway, just had brekkie, but the coffee is decafienated. I think I am going to die by tommorow morning.

I was then woken at 8.00 but had to lay still for an hour, not even reading - you really have to work hard to stay awake. I've got more blood being taken in an hour, then 3 x half hour stints on the exercise bike. The food is apparently worked out to my height/weight needs, but looks to be diet portions to me. I'm hungry. And cranky cos I want a cup of coffee. Rest? Hmmm...

Good job I'm only rarely cranky then, eh? The rest of the time I'm the essence of sweetness and light.

Or summat.
