Default Personal Independence Paymen (PIP): Collecting your experiences

Hi all

Following on from concerns raised by families about PIP and the processes surrounding it, we have set up a meeting with the Independent Assessment Services (who carry out most of the assessment on behalf of the DWP). The aim is to highlight your concerns and work with them to try and address them.

In these early stages we have identified a number of ways that we can work together with the aim of improving knowledge around Huntington's disease.

To best represent the experiences you have had we are asking for you to share your experiences. Have you applied for PIP and how was the process for you, do you have concerns about PIP that you would like to share.

If so please can you send these to ruth.abuzaid@hda.org.uk

Many thanks for this, your support is much appreciated.

Ruth, Head of Service Development at the HDA.
