Whilst I'm here

Time for a book plug me thinks.

As usual, if anyone has brought the book all reviews would be welcome. Good ones and bad ones as all are useful to those browsing whether to buy or not.

CLICK HERE FOR THE AMAZON LINK

Copies should also be available from the HDA Shop - click here.

Not sure if I will be able to pull it off but I'm hoping to get some of the poems read by others and loaded up on YouTube/Vimeo at some stage. I may need the help of a techy person if my volunteer readers are even less IT literate than me

Yep!

I have an actor who may be reading 'The Rushed Hush and The Name Game. Will be speaking to her soon about how we do it.

Another actor/documentary director may be reading another poem but he hasn't conformed yet although has said he will try.

Up-date on how the poetry reading project has been going.

Carol Royle, who played 'Emilie' in BBC Casualty as the mother with HD has done me proud!

We have managed to get out 3 videos so far.

The 1st one is my poem The Rushed Hush

THE RUSHED HUSH

The 2nd is my poem The Name Game

THE NAME GAME

The 3rd is actually the first take that Carol did where trying to work out how to use her PC again for making and sending me a reading. Carol read straight through our suggested texts and was a star where she didn't worry about a couple of fluffed lines and my inadequate writing; she urged me to get it out there anyway as it showed her real anger and emotion when reading about such a devastating condition and such a wonderful man who I am paying tribute to in my words.

initial reading including 'MY INSPIRATION'

We have interest from others to do a reading but, as yet, nothing has been forthcoming. Obviously I will post up in here if anything more comes through.

Yippee

Got my annual statement and cheque this week for the royalties on the paperback copy sales of the book.

12 months of paperback sales on-line = 3 sales in the UK and 3 in the USA. Royalty cheque of £8.11 enclosed.

Ho Hummmmm

So on that basis, allow me to plug the book again please and let's see if I can sell more than 6 copies to the world next year.

See HERE for the Amazon Link.

Hi Gabby

Do you mean my recommending more books or writing?

Happy to recommend but if you mean writing I'm afraid I could not afford to do that. As I needed to self-publish, and sales have been poor, I'm still around £700 out of pocket last time I did a check.
