Default Hi - new member in South Africa

Hi all - I am in South Africa, but joined as I don't think we have a local forum chat site and yours seems active and helpful.
We do have an association in SA (called HASA) and we attend a support group in Cape Town - my home town.
My wife is in early symptomatic stages of HD - her mom had the condition. Hope to chat with some of you soon.
Regards
Russell

Hi Russell

Welcome to Messy Board

My hubby (Steve) had HD hence my ticket to board the HD Rollercoaster.

Lots of scary downward riding but lots of highs too. It's great that, even with the lack of choices for support your wife and you attend a support group. Steve was rather reticent when it came to being open about HD/accepting he might have it/had it so we didn't really go to any groups together.

This place was a godsend at times when I just fancied a natter as it were.

I don't come in as much these days, and it can be a bit quiet now at times, but I hope we can help
