Default what to do

hello im charlie a 16 year old girl i am at risk of hd and i am considering having the test when i am old enough. i dont really have much information of what the different stages of the test are or what they are like any feedback would be great please, thank you

Hi Charlie,

HDYO has a section on genetic testing written especially for young people, it highlights how the process works and what is involved - hope it helps.

Hey ive just gone through my process it might be different for some people im not sure but what happened with me is..

they wanted to meet me for a chat which took about 30 minutes the doctor just told me things i already knew about what happens ect

my second meeting was when my blood was taken ive been waiting for 5 years to get this test they wouldnt take my blood because i wasnt 18 yet - i turned 18 in december

and now im waiting for my third meeting which is in 7 days ill be told my result if i have HD or not im pretty nervous!
