Hey has anybody had all their offers and chose their final two places??

Picking a course such as Drama & Theatre Studies/Acting is tougher than a lot of people can first picture.

Instead of getting either a
- conditional ( accepted with the grades predicted).
- unconditional ( acccepted without the grades due to a good audition/interview or simply a good personal statement.
- Declined/Withdrawn

I have to go down the route of recieving 5 auditions for my 5 choices which is a tough situation to be in. I applied for
; LIPA ( Liverpool institute of performing arts ) Audition [Extremely hard to get in].
course - Acting ( Performing Arts)
; UCLAN ( Univeristy of Central Lancashire) Joint honours
course - Drama & Theatre Studies/ Television Studies/ Film Production
had to write 2,000 word essay to be sent off and got an audition.
; Liverpool John Moores - Audition
; Abserswyth?? - Conditional offer
; Manchester Metrapolitan - I got withdraw from the audition process due to not turning up to the audition because I got lost on the way to manchester oops!

Top Choices
Lipa ( Highly unlikely due to 20,000 apply, 30 get in )
John Moores
UCLAN ( UCLAN my first choice)

I have my first audition tommorow for John Moores.
All the auditions consist of singing a scored peice of music.
A 3 minute monologue to a public audience.
A group workshop
A further monologue on a shakespearian play.

Then after this it will take three weeks to see if you have been given a conditional/unconditional/declined offer.

YEY THE JOYS!!!!!

Sounds like my stepdaughter has it easy. Conditional offer from her first choice university (Exeter) long before Christmas, based on predicted grades of ABB. She's doing Sociology.

Tom

This reminds me of a few years ago, my daughter was trying to get a place for a degree in acting.

We were trekking round about the country, she auditiioned in manchester, london, bournemouth, another one in the south, and she also had one for Liverpool, but she did not go to that one, as they needed singing, and thats not one of her strong points.

She was so disappointed, and then she had to change her course to drama at the last minute, and she got into northampton, to do the drama course. Have you thought about that at all, she wanted to be an actress, but then she thought she would like to be a drama teacher.

She, did not do the full course, but she may go back to it at some point.

Good luck for tomorrow.
